Alselmo Moreno, known as Chemito, beat Venezuelan challenger Felix Machado on points in Panama City to retain the Fedecentro regional bantamweight title, local media reported on Sunday.

The 10-round fight took place in the ATLAPA Convention Center on the shores of the Pacific coast Panama Bay.

Moreno began the fight with a clear dominance of the early rounds, as his Venezuelan rival was unable to figure out his fighting style.

The three World Boxing Association judges were unanimous in giving Moreno the victory, scoring the bout 98-91, 97-94 and 99-91.
