China, Japan to hold seminar on environmental protection in Tokyo

China and Japan will hold a seminar on energy saving and environmental protection at the end of May in Tokyo, Japan, according to the website of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in Beijing Sunday.

The NDRC said the seminar are jointly sponsored by the NDRC, China's Ministry of Commerce, Chinese embassy to Japan, Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Japan-China Association on Economy and Trade.

About 150 Chinese delegates and 350 Japanese delegates will attend the seminar. Leading officials from the above organizations will make speeches at the seminar.

Delegates will also visit Japan's model companies in energy saving, the NDRC said.
