A senior aide to Al-Qaeda's leader in Iraq Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi was arrested on Sunday evening in Ramadi, 110 km west of Baghdad, Iraqi Interior Ministry announced Monday.

Salah Hussein Abdeul Razzaq was captured along with his mobile phone storing group photos with al-Zarqawi.

The ministry said in a separate statement that the Iraqi security forces arrested "terrorist" Umar Ahmad Saleh, also known as Abu Jibreel, in western Baghdad Monday morning.

"The terrorist had in his possession weapons including RPG shells and rockets, automatic machineguns, mortars, three barrels of TNT, remote control devices, bullet proof vests, protective masks, and a car laden with explosives," the statement said.
