Angola ascends in FIFA rankings

Twenty three days from the start of the World Cup, the Angolan national soccer team ascended one place in the FIFA rankings, this is reported here Thursday from the World soccer's governing body.

With 581 points, the Sables Antelopes went from the 58th position to the 57th. Togo with 569 points in the 61st position is the only team to compete in the Germany World Cup that is below Angola's ranking. Angola's Group D opponents are placed as follows: Iran 23rd, Mexico (6th) and Portugal (7th).

Brazil tops the rankings with 827 points, Czech Republic (772) and the Netherlands (768).
