After topping their group in Morogoro battleground, Cecafa/Kagame Cup defending champions SC Villa have vowed to crush face Kenya's Ulinzi in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
"We are going to beat Ulinzi because we know how they play," Ibrahim Kirya, Villa's stand-in coach showed the team's confidence.
Meanwhile, Uganda's second team at the soccer tournament Police FC will battle Tanzania's Yanga FC in the other quarter-final on the same day after Yanga went top of Group A on Sunday night after a 3-1 win over Ulinzi to set-up a quarter-final clash against Police.
"Facing Yanga will be a tough game because it is a home side and will have all the support. But we shall fight the entire 90 minutes, " said Police coach Sam Timbe about their nest game.
Ulinzi coach James Omondi told Xinhua that he was happy to be facing SV Villa in the nest round because he thinks the team is beatable.
Moro United who humbled Eritrea's Al Tahrir 5-0 Sunday evening in Morogoro to finish second in Group C will now face arch-rivals Simba in the quarter-final clash on Wednesday.
Former SC Villa coach Sredejovic 'Micho' Milutin will lead his side against tournament favorites APR in what promises to be a thriller. "I want to face this APR team because we can eject them, " said Micho.
The Ugandan representatives could take on each other if they win Tuesday's quarter-final games.
The winner of the tournament that ends on May 28 will smile away with 30,000 US dollars, the runner-up 20,000 dollars and the third placed 10,000 dollars, granted by Paul Kagame, the Rwandan President and zealous football fan.
