Mexican referee says dreams of supervising soccer World Cup final

Mexican referee Armando Archundia, one of Mexico's two referees picked for the World Cup finals, told Monday's media that he is ready to blow the whistle at soccer's premier event.

Archundia refereed the Mexican Closing Tournament Final on Sunday in the state of Hidalgo. He has already refereed at an Olympic Games semifinal and the world clubs championship. He said that he has been recognized by the world soccer body FIFA.

Tellez, who is traveling on Thursday to Germany to join the Wold Cup refereeing team said: "Nothing would give me more pleasure than supervising the World Cup."
