European Union Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson is to hold talks with China's Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai in China next month, ministry spokesman Chong Quan said Monday.

He said the they would exchange views on trade relations between China and the European Union, the full market economy status of China, the protection of intellectual property rights and the Doha Development Agenda of the World Trade Organization.

Mandelson will visit China from June 5 to 9 at the invitation of the Ministry of Commerce.
