The Nepali government Monday stated that the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Girija Rasa Koirala to India starting from Tuesday will focus on economic agenda.
The cabinet meeting held at the residence of Koirala in Kathmandu decided on the agenda to be discussed during the Koirala 's India visit.
Though Koirala's India tour is expected to draw attention to the issues regarding the constituent assembly and the settlement of the guerrilla's arms, the meeting has mentioned the economic assistance project as the highlight of the tour.
Talking to journalists after the meeting, Home Minister Krishna Rasa Sitaula said, "Talks will concentrate on benefit of both nations. Talks will also be held on issues relating to financial development of Nepal."
According to some reports, India has already agreed upon providing a new economic assistance package to Nepal under the Himalayan marshal plan.
