The Suns have bigger advantage

We are looking ahead to the Suns-Dallas matchup, western conference final.

This is very captivating, a couple of games that are highly entertaining. You'd better believe that the Suns were desperate for Dallas to beat San Antonio. They want it no part of the Spurs, they had a lot of problems with Tim Duncan, Emanuel Ginobili and Tony Parker in the past few years.

This is a much better matchup. One of the reasons is that, Shawn Marion covers Dirk Nowitzki as well as anybody in the NBA. He's got the size to deal with him on the block as well as the speed and the agility to stay with him on the perimeter. Remember last year, the Suns beat Dallas in the playoffs. Steve Nash was amazing, took over that series, the Mavericks decided to let Nash beat them offensively, that's exactly what he did, 40 plus points in one game, and completely took over. So perhaps a different strategy this year from Avery Johnson.

I think one thing you are going see is Devin Harris pushing the ball at Nash, trying to make him play some defense. We saw the Clippers tear out Nash a little bit by doing just that, posting Nash up, trying to push the ball at him, making him expend some energy on the defensive end. And that in turn slowed him down and affect his shooting. Look for Dallas to do the same thing.

The key though for Dallas: get back in transition, no easy buckets for Phoenix, see if they can make it, possibly not that easy.
