Best player and sixth manThe best player As I last said, I've got to go with Steve Nash in Phoenix, the reigning MVP. If the season ends today, he'll get my vote again. Dirk Nowitzki, Chauncey Billups right there, because for me, team success is always the big factor. But if you look at what the Suns has done without Stoudemire, running away with the Pacific division, you will delete the two names. I know you'll say ˇ°yes, Marion is there, he's just as valuable as Nash.ˇ± I think Nash elevates Marion. Do you know how much better Marion has become with Nash? The easiest thing to do here is ask yourself, if Nash was out all season, and Stoudemire was there, would the Suns be on pace to win 67% game? I don't think anybody would try to make that case. The best sixth man I think Jerry Stackhouse in Dallas has the slight edge over the Hornets Speedy Claxton. Stackhouse missed the first 26 games, that works against him a little bit. But look at what the Maverick has done since his become back. Dallas are basically a one star team, besides Dirk, they don't really have a consistent No.2 scorer. Stackhouse is probably the closet thing to that, he's been huge off the bench. That's why I think he's the best supporting role in the league right now. |
