The Nepali government and guerrilla negotiators are holding their second round of talks in the capital Thursday afternoon.
"We are going to hold talks with the government at the Himalaya Hotel at 2 pm (0815 GMT) this afternoon," Krishna Bahadur Mahara, coordinator of the guerrilla talks team, told reporters.
The second round of talks is expected to decide upon the high- level talks between Prime Minister Koirala and guerrilla's top leader Prachanda.
"Today's talks will possibly decide when and where the high- level talks will be held," Mahara added.
Meanwhile, sources said the high-level government-guerrilla talks between Koirala and Prachanda are likely to take place on Friday as Koirala will be leaving for Bankok on Saturday for treatment.
The first round talks were held on May 26.
