font size

China has banned poultry imports from Sudan and Hungary in response to recent reports of bird flu outbreaks in the two countries.

According to a joint bulletin issued by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, any poultry products transported from Sudan and Hungary to China after the epidemics were confirmed

must be returned or destroyed.

The poultry imports from Sudan and Hungary found on ships, planes and trains which are passing China or staying in China must be sealed for safety, said the bulletin.

In addition, any processed poultry products from Sudan or Hungary that enter China illegally must also be destroyed immediately under the supervision of the Chinese government.
