Three policemen were killed Wednesday night in a militants' ambush on a patrolling vehicle in northwestern Pakistan's tribal region, the private GEO Television reported on Thursday.
Unidentified armed men ambushed a police mobile vehicle with automatic weapons in Mirani Dam area near Bannu, a major town on the edge of North Waziristan, killing three policemen on the spot, according to GEO TV.
The attack came just hours after a roadside bomb that killed three soldiers and wounded three others near Mir Ali, a main town in North Waziristan.
