An online sexual health survey targeting Singaporean women in their late teens to early 30s is just under way, according to Channel NewsAsia report on Thursday.
The survey, called as the largest of its kind in Singapore, was conducted to find out whether local women take adequate precautions against unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases.
About one in four pregnancies is terminated every year and the rate of sexually transmitted diseases is rising here, the report quoted recent studies as saying.
The survey is conducted by the Singapore subsidiary of Schering, a German pharmaceutical company, and a local website, HotSpots.com.
The results of the survey will be out in late July.
