Argentina's female volleyball team headed to San Juan, Puerto Rico, Monday, to take part in the fifth Pan-American Cup volleyball tournament, which runs from June 29 to July 7.
The team, trained by Carlos Di Lonardo, is in Group B alongside Cuba, the United States, Peru, Venezuela and Barbados.
Prior to flying, the Argentines trained for a month in Cordoba, and played friendly games with a women's team from a United States university: winning four and losing one.
"Our hope is to improve versus last year, where we reached the quarter finals," Di Lonardo said in a statement.
