An Israeli military plane fired three missiles at a training camp of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) south of Gaza City on late Thursday night, Palestinian witnesses said.
The targeted camp belonged to the al-Qassam Brigades, an armed wing of Hamas, said the witnesses.
Meanwhile, Palestinian security sources said that another two Israeli missiles hit a training camp of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the southern Gaza Strip.
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades is an armed splinter group of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement.
No casualties were reported in either airstrike, but witnesses said severe damages were caused.
Israeli troops continued on Thursday a broad military operation in the Gaza Strip in an effort to rescue an Israeli soldier kidnapped by Palestinian militants during a cross-border raid on Sunday.
The al-Qassam Brigades took part in the deadly Sunday attack on the Israeli army post near the Gaza border, but the Hamas-led Palestinian government said that it did not order the assault.
The Islamic Hamas, sworn to Israel's destruct, took control of the Palestinian government in late March after a sweeping January election victory.
