Some 64 percent of soccer fans in a Brazilian survey published on Friday said they approved of national team manager Carlos Alberto Parreira while 83 percent said that the national team would win their six World Cup.
In the same survey, 71 percent said they wanted Parreira to remain manager after the end of the World Cup in Germany.
The survey showed that recent games had restored Brazilian's faith in Ronaldo Nazario de Lima, a star Brazilian striker once chided for being overweight. Some 27 percent of fans rated the Real Madrid player as Brazil's best player, compared with 12 percent for Ronaldo de Assis, known as Ronaldinho, reversing a previous rating.
Research firm Datafolha performed the survey on June 28 and June 29, after Brazil beat Ghana 3-0, a result which won it a place in the World Cup quarter finals.
