Soccer fans of Argentine in Bangladesh, who lost two of their fellow fans following heart attack after the South American country defeat in the first quarter final on Friday by host Germany, find some comfort from Brazil's defeat against France on Saturday.

"I am at least to some extent happy that Brazil is also out from the World Cup," Mohammad Azad, a strong supporter of Argentine team told Xinhua Sunday.

"I am feeling a bit better today as Brazil was sent packing by France," he said.

Another fan of Argentine team Ranju, who uses one name told Xinhua Sunday, " No more I am mentally depressed as Brazil was also out from the World Cup."

"It is a solace for me that Brazil was defeated by France Saturday," Ranju said.

Meantime, print and electronic media on Sunday reported two Argentine fans of this football-mad Bangladesh died following heart attacks with one in Southeastern Noakhli, 190 km from the capital and the other in northwestern Gaibandha, 276 km from Dhaka immediately after Argentine, the country which lifted the World Cup twice, suffered a defeat to host Germany in penalty shootout.

Likewise Argentine fans, thousands of supporters of Brazil, who lifted the World Cup five times, are mourning on Sunday the defeat of the country in the last quarter final against France, winner of the World Cup once.

The Argentine supporters observed a mourning day on Saturday and hundreds of supporters in the capital Dhaka lowered the Argentine flags they hoisted atop their residential buildings.

It could not be known yet whether any Brazil supporters died after the defeat. But the supporters are also mourning the defeat on Sunday as they were mentally depressed and maintaining silence staying indoors.

Ahsanullah, a fan of Brazil, was so depressed, angrily said, "I will not watch the remaining matches of the World Cup."

"I have lost all interest in the World Cup matches as Brazil is out from the World Cup campaign," Ahsanullah told Xinhua.
