Al-Qassam Brigades, armed wing of Palestinian ruling Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), threatened on Sunday to hit targets into Israel similar to the targets that the Israeli air forces had hit in the last few days.

The three militant groups, which abducted an Israeli soldier in Gaza last Sunday, said in a leaflet sent to reporters that its militants would hit Israeli bridges, ministries, schools, universities and infrastructures.

"The Israeli army's doing against the Palestinian people is a very dirty war. The occupation hasn't yet got the message of last week's attack and insisted to keep using barbarian actions," said the leaflet.

It added that the occupation forces believed that by carrying out such kind of war against the Palestinians, they would change the fate of the captive Israeli soldier.

The continuation of the aggression against the Palestinian people amid the world's silence, would of course bring the whole region into a bath of blood, denounced the leaflet, adding "the outcome of continuing this aggression on our people would be so bad, and al-Qassam Brigades have so many choices that hadn't been used yet."

Al-Qassam Brigades militants along with militants from the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) and its offshoot the Islamic Army snatched a 19-year-old Israeli Corporal Gilad Shalit in an cross-border attack on June 25.

Israel on Wednesday launched an large-scale operation code- named "Summer Rains" against the Gaza Strip to secure the return of Shalit who was believed to be held in southern Gaza Strip.

Except for several limited incursions on the ground, Israel has so far relied on air raids to destroy Gaza infrastructure and offices of the Hamas-led government.
