Two policemen were killed and three others wounded in a roadside bomb blast in eastern Baghdad on Tuesday, a police source said.
"A roadside bomb went off at about 11:20 a.m. (0720 GMT) near a police patrol on a main road in eastern Baghdad," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast damaged a police vehicle, killing two policemen and wounding three others aboard, the source added.
Insurgents frequently attack Iraqi security forces, accusing them of collaborating with U.S. occupation forces.
