The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top advisory body, held a meeting on improving the work of local advisory bodies here on Wednesday.
At the meeting of chairmen of local political consultative conferences, ten regional chairmen reported on their implementation of a proposal on improving people's political consultative conference's work issued by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee early this year.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, urged local conferences to study the proposal and work for theoretical innovation to push work innovation.
He also stressed that local conferences should make preparations for a planned inspection by the CPPCC on how they study and implement the proposal.
