Pakistan strongly condemns Indian Mumbai blasts
font size

Pakistan strongly condemned the series of bomb blasts on commuter trains in India's Mumbai on Tuesday.

"This despicable act of terrorism has resulted in the loss of a large number of precious lives," Pakistani foreign office spokesman said in a statement.

Pakistani President and Prime Minister have also strongly condemned this terrorist act and have expressed condolences over the loss of innocent lives, it said.

"Terrorism is a bane of our times and it must be condemned, rejected and countered effectively and comprehensively," the statement said.

Seven explosions hit Mumbai's commuter rail network during rush hour Tuesday evening, ripping apart train compartments, killing more than 100 people and wounding more than 200.
