Overseas Chinese youth called on to promote communication between China and world
font size

Jia Qinglin, China's top political advisor, Wednesday called on a visiting group of "outstanding Chinese youth abroad" to promote communication between China and the world.

Jia, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), made the remarks when he met with the team and their advisors in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Jia said China, a civilization with more than 5,000 years of history, is at a new historical starting point. With concerted efforts of all "sons and daughters of the Chinese nation", China is bound to score new achievements in reform, opening up and the modernization drive.

He called on members of the visiting team to promote progress of human civilization, push forward national reunification, disseminate Chinese culture and serve as a bridge between China and the world.
