font size

The Malaysian Foreign Ministry Thursday issued a statement, condemning Israel's airstrikes on Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, Lebanon.

"The irresponsible use of force by Israel on Lebanon has caused hardship and suffering to its people," the statement said.

In the statement, the ministry urged Israel to cease all military action in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Lebanon to avoid further civilian casualties as well as breakdown of basic infrastructure.

Malaysia called for the international community to intervene to prevent further escalation of violence in the region.
