font size

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Friday met Spanish Crown Prince Felipe de Borbon y Grecia in Beijing.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern.

The Crown Prince is on an official visit to China at the invitation of Vice President Zeng Qinghong.

He told a Sino-Spanish business forum in Shanghai on Thursday that Spain will continue to encourage Spanish investment in China and welcome Chinese investment in return.

Spanish investment in China has grown five-fold over the last five years to hit 197 million US dollars in 2005.

More than 400 Spanish enterprises are operating in China, including more than 200 in and around Shanghai.
