font size

The first aid shipment to Lebanon from Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) arrived on the Lebanese-Syrian borders on Saturday, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Syria Fahad Al-Awadhi told KUNA that the shipment included 200 tons of flour and 100 tons of other foodstuff as well as tons of medicine and other medical needs.

Coordination is underway to guarantee the safe delivery of the aid to Lebanon, added Al-Awadhi.

KRCS has announced that it will send another cargo of aid to the Lebanese on Sunday including 200 tons of wheat.

As citizens have been stocking up following Israeli aggression in the country, foodstuff become scarce in Lebanese markets.
