Kuwait allocated on Sunday 20 million U.S. dollars to help Lebanon alleviate the suffering from the Israeli aggression, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The fund was ordered by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah and approved by the Kuwaiti cabinet at its weekly meeting on Sunday.
During Sunday's meeting, the cabinet was also briefed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Sabah on results of the meeting of Arab foreign ministers which had concluded on Saturday in Cairo.
Sheikh Mohammad told the cabinet that the meeting focused on the situation in the Middle East, especially the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and Palestinian territories.
He said that the foreign ministers called upon the international community to intensify its efforts to bring peace, security and stability to the region.
The first aid shipment including 300 tons of foodstuff and medical needs donated by Kuwait Red Crescent Society arrived on the Lebanese-Syrian borders on Saturday.
