China's tobacco industry nets 59.2 billion in first half year

The tobacco industry in China has realized a net income of 59.2 billion yuan during the first six months of this year. On Thursday, the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration claimed while issuing the operation situation of the Tobacco industry, that the tobacco ally had achieved a breakthrough progress, and that the intensity of production of the top ten tobacco enterprises accounts for 50.5 percent.

The data demonstrates that the whole tobacco industry has achieved a profit of 152.5 billion yuan, increased by 18.5 percent over the same period of last year, in which tax make up 93.3 billion, an increase of 15.4 per cent.
