Vietnam's CPVCC to discuss anti-corruption measures
font size

The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) is to open its third plenum today to touch upon various issues, including anti-corruption and business doing of party members, local newspaper Youth reported Monday.

The meeting will center on such issues as strengthening the party leadership in combating corruption and wastefulness, better managing personnel matters, intensifying party construction at grassroots levels, and clarifying regulations about allowing party members to do business.

The CPVCC has recently attached great importance to drawing lessons to restrict and push back bureaucracy, corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena within the party and the whole political system.

The CPVCC selected candidates for high-ranking state positions in its two-day second plenum late May, and voted for the CPVCC's new leadership (10th tenure) late April.
