Israeli forces stormed the northeastern Gaza Strip on early Wednesday, Palestinian witnesses said.
Israeli troops, backed by Apache helicopters, intruded into the area before dawn, said the witnesses, adding that the Israeli helicopters opened heavy fire at the region while the ground forces were rolling in.
Israeli army bulldozers razed down trees to pave the way for the ground forces, they added.
No injuries were reported.
Palestinian militants were seen waiting for further Israeli incursions and possible confrontations, the witnesses said.
On Tuesday night, a Palestinian teenager was killed and two other Palestinians were wounded in an Israeli artillery shelling on the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis.
Israel pressed ahead a massive air and ground Gaza offensive, which was launched on June 28, three days after Palestinian militants killed two Israeli soldiers and snatched a third during a cross-border raid.
Over 100 Palestinians have been killed so far.
