Turkey sent more humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip on Thursday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
A total of 51 trucks carrying 870 tons of flour and sanitary equipment left Cilvegozu border gate in the southern Turkish province of Hatay on Thursday, the report said.
It was the second batch of humanitarian aid provided by the Turkish Red Crescent, which sent 630 tons of flour to the Palestinians on July 19.
Aydin Nursel, an executive of the Turkish Red Crescent, said the organization would provide a total of 10,000 tons of aid to the Palestinians, adding that 8,500 tons of the aid will be shipped from southern province of Mersin.
In addition, the organization also sent two trucks carrying medical equipment to violence-ravaged Lebanon, Nursel said.
Daily necessities and fuel were running out in the Gaza Strip as Israeli army continued its offensive to free a 19-year-old soldier, who was kidnapped by Palestinian gunmen on June 25.
Aid agencies have warned of a humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territories.
