Israeli military aircraft struck Gaza City on late Thursday night, Palestinian witnesses said.

The witnesses said that the Israeli planes fired at least two missiles at eastern Gaza City.

It was not immediately clear whether any casualties were caused.

Three Palestinians including a 75-year-old woman were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip earlier on Thursday.

There was no sign of abatement of the over-one-month-old Israeli massive air and ground offensive in the Gaza Strip, which was launched three days after Palestinian militants killed two Israeli soldiers and kidnapped a third in a cross-border raid on June 25.
