Gunmen kill four guards of mosque in western Baghdad

Unknown gunmen opened fire at guards of a mosque in a western Baghdad district on Thursday, killing four of them, an Interior Ministry source said.

The armed men opened fire at guards of al-Rahman mosque in Mansur district, the source said on condition of anonymity.

Violence and sectarian strife have persisted despite the formation of a new unity government in the war-torn country in late May.
