A magnitude-5.6 earthquake rocked Indonesia's Bengkulu province on Sumatra island Friday, causing no damages.
The tremor occurred at 14:17 local time (07:17 GMT) and was centered 154 km southwest of the province, provincial geophysics agency head Ali Muzain said.
"Despite the powerful magnitude, the quake was not felt by residents because the epicenter was quite far," he said.
The quake-prone province was jolted by three earthquakes this week, measuring from 3.3 to 5.6 on the Richter scale.
In June 2000, a magnitude-7.3 quake struck Bengkulu and killed 94 people.
