An Israeli military plane fired a missile onto Gaza City on late Saturday night, Palestinian witnesses said.
An Israeli missile struck a house in Gaza City, said the witnesses.
There was no immediate report of any casualties.
Meanwhile, Israeli army sources were quoted by Israeli media as saying that the Israeli army launched an airstrike on a Gaza City stronghold of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which now runs the Palestinian government.
Israel has kept up an over-one-month-old massive air and ground offensive in the Gaza Strip since June 28, three days after three Palestinian militant groups including Hamas' armed wing killed two Israeli soldiers and kidnapped a third during a cross-border raid.
The Hamas-led Palestinian government has said that it did not order the abduction and had no foreknowledge of the attack.
