Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Seniora said on Sunday that he would not hold any negotiations on resolving the current Mideast crisis before an immediate ceasefire.

"There is no place on this sad morning for any talks other than an immediate and unconditional ceasefire as well as an international investigation into Israel's massacres in Lebanon now," Seniora told reporters after an Israeli air raid killed more than 50 in a village in south Lebanon.

He also condemned the Israeli airstrike, saying "such a heinous crime against our civilians will not break the will of the Lebanese people."

Meanwhile, Lebanese officials said that Lebanon has cancelled a planned visit by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Lebanon.

Israel launched its military offensives against Lebanese Hezbollah on July 12 in response to the group's capture of two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border attack.

More than 600 Lebanese and more than 50 Israelis have been killed in the fighting.
