Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdul- Mahdi on Monday accused Israel of carrying out massacre in
Lebanon.
"Today, massacres are also taking place in ... Lebanon and Palestine. These horrible massacres carried out by the Israeli aggression incites our spirit of brotherhood and solidarity," said Abdul-Mahdi, a Shiite.
He made the remarks one day after over 50 civilians were killed in an Israeli air raid on the southern Lebanese village of Qana, the deadliest single attack since the violence between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah began 20 days ago which drew widespread condemnation and calls for an immediate ceasefire.
