A suicide car bomber blew himself up near Iraqi security patrol in central Baghdad on Tuesday, killing at least 10 soldiers and policemen and wounding 12 others, an Interior Ministry source said.

"The attack took place at about 9:00 a.m. (0500 GMT) when the attacker hit an Iraqi army and police patrol in the Urizdi Intersection in Karradah district," the source said on condition of anonymity.

Earlier the source said that four people were killed and 11 others wounded in the suicide attack.
