Xbox360 not available in China for piracy reason

General Manager of Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division of Asia Pacific and Greater China Region Alan Bowman recently said in an interview in Shanghai that Microsoft has intensified the momentum of investment in hardware products sector. The importance of hardware products sectors is being constantly upgraded. In addition, considering the piracy threats, the latest version of game Xbox360 will not be available in China for the moment.

According to reports, there are five million Xbox360 users now across the world. Microsoft's next target is to have 8 to 10 million users. However, China is not within the countries for the multinational launch for Xbox360.

Alan Bowman said that the Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division is currently assessing the Chinese market and has not issued the timetable for Xbox360 launch in China.

Piracy threat is a major reason why Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division did not launch Xbox360 in China. It is reported that 100% of the hardware products sold by Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division across the world are manufactured in Shenzhen and Guangdong of the country.
