France midfielder Patrick Vieira completed his transfer from Juventus to Inter Milan on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old Vieira, who underwent a medical on Tuesday, has signed a four-year contract until June 30, 2010.
The cost of the transfer is reported to be around 10 million euros (12.8 million dollars), with Vieira expected to get an annual salary of five million euros (6.4 million dollars).
Vieira is one of several key players to leave Juventus after the Turin club were found guilty of match fixing last month.
Juventus was stripped of the Serie A titles it won in 2004-05 and in 2005-06, and was relegated to the second division with a 17-point penalty for the start of next season.
Vieira started his professional footbal with French side Cannes, where he made his debut at the age of 17.
In the summer of 1995 he was signed by Inter's city rival AC Milan, but made just two appearances before being offloaded to Arsenal. He won three Premier League titles and four FA Cups with the Gunners.
After nine years in England, Vieira joined Juventus in 2005 for a fee of 20 million euros (25.6 million dollars).
Vieira was a member of the France squad which won the 1998 World Cup.
He also played in the 2006 World Cup final last month, when France lost to Italy 5-3 on penalties.
