Turkish aid organization Kizilay ( Red Crescent) sent a convoy of 18 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Lebanon on Thursday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Tekin Kucukali, chairman of the Red Crescent, was quoted by Anatolia as saying that 13 trucks out of the 18 would go to the Lebanese Red Cross and the other five to the Syrian Red Crescent.
"Among the aid materials carried by the convoy are baby food, diapers, medicine, flour, tea, sugar and mattresses," added Kucukali.
He also criticized the international community for paying insufficient attention to the violence in the Middle East.
"The whole world witnesses the pain, suffered in the Middle East. We cannot praise the weak global attention to the developments in the region," said Kucukali.
Kucukali also said that the number of the displaced Lebanese due to Israel's attacks was around 1 million.
"War takes place between soldiers. What is taking place is not a war...it is a sudden attack that is killing civilians," he added.
The massive Israeli assault against Lebanon's Hezbollah entered the 23rd day on Thursday.
Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said that over 900 people had been killed and 3,000 others wounded in the Israeli attacks and that a third of the casualties were children under 12.
Fifty-six Israelis have also been killed in the violence.
