Six people were killed and dozens injured in massive rocket attacks by Lebanese Hezbollah on northern Israel on Thursday, local media said.
Two people were killed in Acre as a rocket landed near their home. Four others were killed near Ma'alot, the Jerusalem Post said.
According to rescuers, the two attacks also left five people critically wounded, one moderately and six lightly wounded, mostly from shrapnel. Nineteen were treated for shock.
Israeli police said that some 160 rockets rained down across northern Israel on Thursday. Rockets also hit Nahariya, Kiryat Shmona, Tiberias and Golan Heights, lightly wounding some residents.
On Wednesday, one man was killed by a Hezbollah-fired rocket in Kibbutz Sa'ar near Nahariya.
Some 2,000 rockets have been fired at Israel from Lebanon since a conflict between Israel and Hezbollah erupted on July 12, killing 25 Israeli civilians.
