Two more Palestinian militants were killed in a fresh Israeli airstrike on eastern Rafah, when it fired one missile that had directly hit them, medics and eyewitnesses said.
Ali Musa, chief of emergency at Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah town confirmed that two were killed and two were injured, one of them is in critical conditions.
The ongoing Israeli army ground military operation into eastern Rafah town in southern Gaza Strip left on Thursday ten killed and more than 20 others wounded, medics and eyewitnesses said.
At predawn on Thursday, about 50 Israeli tanks, bulldozers, armored vehicles and personnel carriers rolled into al-Shawka neighborhood in the eastern part of Rafah town. The forces were backed by warplanes and unmanned drones.
Palestinian medics said earlier in the day that eight Palestinians, seven militants and one 12-year-old child were killed, and more than 20 injured in more than five airstrikes and tanks shells.
Israeli said the aim of the operation is to free an Israeli soldier abducted in the area on June 25 by three Palestinian militants groups led by the armed wing of the ruling Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
