Five Israelis wounded in Hezbollah rocket attack

Five Israelis were wounded in a Hezbollah rocket attack in the northern Israeli city of Haifa on Saturday, local media reported.

About three rockets were fired by Hezbollah guerillas from south Lebanon onto the Haifa area on early Saturday morning, local newspaper The Jerusalem Post reported on its website, citing rescue service sources.

Five people were wounded in the attack and five others were treated for shock, said the report.

Haifa, the third largest Israeli city, is about 35 km from the Lebanon-Israel border.

The city has been hit hard by Hezbollah rockets since violence between Israel and Hezbollah erupted on July 12 following the capture of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah guerillas.
