Laos will hire a Chinese coach to train its badminton players for the 2007 and 2009 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, Lao news agency KPL reported Tuesday.
To prepare for the games, the Lao Brewery Company has financially assisted the Lao National Badminton Federation in selecting players among localities nationwide.
The Lao government has yet to have enough financial sources for the badminton preparation for the two SEA Games, the report said.
The 24th and 25th SEA Games are scheduled to take place, respectively, in Thailand in 2007 and in Laos in 2009.
