Yahoo China image database to increase to 3.5 billion images

Yahoo China Image Search is planning to integrate 3.3 billion images from around the world to increase its images to 3.5 billion so as to further help users find the information they need.

Yahoo China Image Search now includes 1.6 billion images, followed by Google Image Search (1 billion) and Baidu Image Search (90 million).

The executive general manager Tianjian with Yahoo China said users would search form the image database worldwide and the search results would be more exact and excellent.

It is learned that Yahoo China image database include "all images in the web", meaning the images which users could search through search engine, and "album images", meaning shared images with users' permission.

In addition, Yahoo China Image Search will uphold comments and classification of images and claim for special community.
