Bangladesh faces Vietnam in ASEAN Youth Football ChampionshipsBangladesh team will play their inaugural match against Vietnam team Saturday in the four-nation ASEAN Youth Under-17 Football Championships in Vietnam, Bangladeshi news agency UNB reported Friday. According to Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), the league based match will kick off at 3:30 p.m. (local time). Bangladesh will play their second match against Laos on Aug.14 (3:45 p.m. local time) while the third match against Myanmar on Aug.16 (3:45 p.m.). Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi players are now in good spirit but the hot and humid weather might cause a little bit of trouble to the players, the BFF sources said. Earlier, a 25-member Bangladesh Under-17 Football team, led by Tauhidul Alam Sabuj, leaves here for Vietnam early Thursday. The four participating teams in the meet are Bangladesh, Myanmar, Laos and hosts Vietnam. The final round of the AFC U-17 Championship will be held in September in Singapore. Bangladesh has been placed in group D along with China, Vietnam and Syria.
