Bangladeshi suffered a 1-3 defeat against hosts Vietnam Saturday in their inaugural match of the four-nation ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Under-17 Football Championship, local daily The Financial Express reported Sunday.
Tram Viet Trung opened the account for Vietnam in the very first minute (1-0) while they doubled the margin in the 23rd minute (2-0).
Emon Mahmud pulled one back for Bangladesh in the 27th minute scoring a spectacular goal from a free-kick (2-1).
After the break, Tram Viet Trung scored again in the 75th minute to raise the winners tally to three (3-1).
Bangladesh will play their 2nd match against Laos Monday at 3:45 p.m. (local time) while the 3rd match against Myanmar on Wednesday (3:45 p.m.).
