An explosion hit a hospital in southwestern Pakistan's Baluchistan province Saturday night, killing a woman, the NNI news agency reported Sunday quoting official sources.
The explosion ripped through the labor room of gynecology ward of a civil Hospital in Kuhlo, some 220 km east of Quetta, Baluchistan's provincial capital, district mayor Engineer Ali Gul Mari said.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast, the report said.
The official condemned the blast, saying it was a terrorist act.
Government installations and public service units in Baluchistan easily become targets of attacks launched by local anti-government tribesmen, who want to gain more political rights from the administration and control over local energy resources.
Many have been killed in clashes between security forces and tribal militants in Baluchistan.
