Polish Sosnowiec coal mine football club on Thursday denied it had ever goaded players to manipulate match results through bribery, according to local media.
The club declared in a statement that its operation was open and transparent, that all its achievements to date were gained in line with the game rules.
It called the reports about its allowing players to manipulate fantastic talk and with ulterior motives.
The Sosnowiec football club is in the second division league in Poland.
Two retired players and one in service of the club were arrested recently for suspected corruption. One of them told the media that some players of the club were involved in game deals schemed by the club.
